Taste of Dallas

I am very exhausted tonight so this may not be long. It was a wonderful Sunday. Church was church and my family had lunch with friends. I think Sunday lunch is my favorite because it is the last relaxing meal before the reality of another work week sinks into the mind.

My fiance took me to The Taste of Dallas this evening. He had to work the SBC booth for work. The nice guy that my fiance worked with gave me a Fantastic Four poster since SBC is such a big sponsor of that movie. I was able to walk around and explore the tastes. I ate roasted corn, funnel cake, and steak on a stick. I drank two bottles of water and sampled Coca Cola Zero. I was also harassed by a rep from Bally's Total Fitness. I know I'm no Lindsay Lohan, with her skeleton like figure, but I also do not weigh 400 pounds. There was a booth set up for airbrush tattoos. Since my henna one was kind of a disaster I decided to try airbrush. It looks cute, but I cannot walk into nice places without long pants on because I put it on my ankle.

I had a moment today that I must share. This is a lovey-dovey gush warning:

My fiance and I were watching television this evening and as I leaned on him he gently played with my hair. I know it isn't a passionate love scene that makes romantic comedies so great, but it is the small type of affection that people need in good relationships. Sometimes that is the best way to show love. It makes the heart happy and is good for the soul.

(I told you it would be short tonight.)
