Roses are red

I am so grateful that I have a cousin who works in a beauty salon. I called her up this morning and asked if she would wash, dry, and style my hair for me. Of course she said 'yes' and my hair looks amazing! No, I'm not incredibly lazy, but everyone has to admit how nice it feels to have your hair washed and dried in a salon. The best part is that it is free for me. I pay her in other ways. I just recently got her The Golden Girls Season One. We are both massive fans and she could not wait to watch all the episodes.

Today I also discovered that all the sun I am getting has darkened my skin a few shades more than my face. After a brief consultation with my Mary Kay Specialist, we decided I should just use a bronzer instead of a darker foundation.

My fiance and I had dinner at the San Francisco Rose off Greenville Avenue in Dallas. We met three of his colleagues from work and they were all my age. (Let's just say my fiance is significantly older than my age of 24.) As I conversed with all three very attractive women I began to worry. I did not worry that he would find them attractive, and I did not worry that he would want to date any of them. I worried because I thought, "If I come across as that clueless and juvenile, why would he want to be around me or even marry me?" The one thing I had to remember was that I am very mature for my age:). The food was fair, and my chicken bottom was burnt. Note to self: Don't eat dinner there again.

My review of Some Like It Hot: See White Chicks if you are looking for a close to same story line, but with more comedy. See Some Like It Hot if you prefer a classic black and white film starring the beautiful Marilyn Monroe. I enjoyed the movie and did get a few good laughs from the dialogue. My favorite part was reminding my drooling fiance that Marylin Monroe was, I believe, a size 14. He is still arguing the point that the average size for a woman today is a size 14 and not the food deprived, skeletal, silicon figures of most of Hollywood's leading actresses. (Yeah, I'm targeting Lindsay Lohan again.) Bottom line is that the film gets 3 out of 5 hearts.
